We try to schedule one Service Project per month.  In addition to the benefits to our community, and the concept of “giving back” instilled in our Scouts, Service Projects make us visible in our Community and positively enhance the image of Troop 449 and of Boy Scouting.

Our troop has regular service activities providing meals at SECU House and providing landscaping help at New Hope Presbyterian Church, which hosts our meetings.  Sometimes we participate in other local service activities, such as a ‘Mud Run’ for charity.  We also join in the service projects our troop members organize for advancement to Eagle Scout.  Here are some pictures:
